Tobby tried to sing Itou Kashitarou’s Yodaka no Hoshi

For my last song cover for this year, I tried to sing Itou Kashitarou-senpai’s “Yodaka no Hoshi,” which can be translated as “The Nighthawk’s Star” in English! This freaking beautiful song’s namesake and inspiration is a piece of fiction that was written by Kenji Miyazawa, and you can find an English translation of that story here! Oh, and with this cover, I also made a subtitled video with rainofashe’s freaking beautiful translation of the song too!

Now, here’s this cover’s mp3, yo! And although the year hasn’t ended yet, I’d like to greet you a Happy New Year, dear nutshellcrackers! Let’s keep on doing our best, and may God Almighty keep on helping us, yo! \(^o^)

See you again in the den, nutshellcrackers!

…oh, and it looks like a certain original song of mine won’t be uploaded this month, but hey, it’s not a really big deal to me right now, yo. Still, I gotta remind that illustrator friend of mine…

Tobby tried to sing Inokori Sensei

I tried to sing one of my favorite songs in the Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai (Confession Executive Committee) series. Oh, and do take note of the fact that this song is unlike the rest of the songs in the series because it’s not focused on romantic love at all (and no matter what certain people want to think, there is proof).

Also, recently, a friend of mine told me that my singing voice in some of my covers sounds monotone, that my belting isn’t really well-done, and that I should do vocal exercises more often. I’d like to thank that friend of mine very much for his sharing his thoughts to me. In this cover, I think I sound less monotone, but hey, I’ll have to know your thoughts before I can say that with certainty, dear nutshellcrackers! Honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated, yo!

And now, here’s an mp3 of this song cover.

Also, don’t forget to work on the video for that original song of yours, Tobby! \(^o^)

Escapism, Reality, and the Kagerou Project

…and even if the nut up there in that vid is a freaking crappy being, it’s got a point about the kids that it’s messing with.

Hey there, nutshellcrackers. It’s me, The Overlord Bear.

KagePro song covers aside, it’s been a long while since my previous post about the Kagerou Project, I think. It’s a series that I’ll definitely remember a lot, still. It’s not perfect, but I think that I’ve learned a lot of good things from it.

Now, if you don’t want to be spoiled about it, then here’s me saying that there will be spoilers. Continue reading “Escapism, Reality, and the Kagerou Project”

Some Instrumental Tracks that I Made with PxTone

So, I composed and arranged some tracks with help from a software called PxTone.

Now, about them tracks…

“Workshop Time” and “Critical Mind” were supposed to be songs, but after a long while of trying to make lyrics and vocals for them, I now think that they’re not good enough for lyrics and vocals. Still, I have some liking for them.

As for “Worthwhile Adventure,” I was trying to make a song, but I ended up making a BGM that sounds suitable in the World Map of an Eastern-style RPG.

And now, I’d like to ask for honest constructive feedback regarding these tracks of mine, dear nutshellcrackers, especially from peeps who have lots of experience in composing and arranging music. Also, I’ll probabaly upload an original song this month. 🙂

See you again in the den, nutshellcrackers! \(^o^)
