Milestones, Turning Points, and Activity Updates – November 2019

After two months of minimal posting frequency, I have returned with a more organized month of posting! I’m pretty happy that I managed to post all that I wanted to post despite being off on the times they should’ve been posted on. I’m also thinking about changing the posting schedule from Saturday and Sunday to Friday and Saturday. Sundays are really important days to me, and the later parts of Fridays are when we actually feel like cutting loose after stuff like school and day jobs. Oh, and I’m still job hunting, by the way. I think I may be going somewhere really better, though…

Anyway, three pairs of fun stuff were posted this month! I’ll sort them by type rather than by time here:

• Fanfiction: Crawling to the Dawn Chapter 8 and “Lockpicked Love”
• Music: “Courage” vocal cover and Mekakucity Days, Records, and Reload TRY
• Prompted Short Stories: “Raising and Razing” and “Ants and Sugar”

As for what’s next, December’s gonna be a challenge to plan with all the Advent and Christmas stuff. And why not make a sched in the spirit of those seasons? I’m even planning to post one particular fanfic on Christmas Eve if there’s a chance! Also, there’s my birthday, a cousin’s wedding (also on my birthday for some reason, hahaha), and my relationship anniversary with Pat! I’d be lying if I said that dealing with all that would be no sweat, but they still excite me, yo! I better trust in the Ultimate Challenger and Guide a lot more, then!

The defining work of Jin, a.k.a. Shizen no Teki-P, is a big multimedia mess with beautiful Vocaloid music at its very core. Its light novels and manga are a stack of supplementary flashbacks pretending to be stories, while its anime is also a big and non-sexual piece of fanservice exclusive for the established follower, but the Vocaloid music is where the actual stories are, even making all those adaptations and supplements bearable for the imagination.

Tobby tried to sing “Courage”

Listening to nostraightanswer’s SYNTECH 0 during my first job did a lot to me, yo. This one song didn’t stick to me that quickly, but when it did, it stuck hard. nostraightCircus is one freaking awesome musical combo, alright. Also, much like the song, Lupin’s voice is freaking beautiful~

As for producing this cover, Pat (It’s her birthday today, so y’all better greet her a Happy Birthday!) told me at first check that the mix was pretty good already, which I consider an achievement compared to previous times. I thought I’d never be able to sing this, too, but then I did a key change, and then I felt like going on fire with this. Though I’m kinda worried about whether I made my voices ring well enough, and I’m pretty sure that Pat and I still have a lot more to learn, so yeah, honest constructive feedback is still very very welcome~
