First Part: “Introducing Lisa the Tearer”

Hello po, mga loko. Greetings, nuts. Pilipino cover na po ngayon, and Lisa did all the vocals here this time. Also, I’m surprised that Lisa did some pretty good recordings for this one. Then again, the song is very much up his alley, considering its themes of dark desire and the mention of dreams, and the dreams part is especially noteworthy because the word used in Tagalog is “panaginip,” which is used to refer to the dreams we experience while sleeping (while “pangarap” is used to refer to dreams in the “goals to pursue and fulfill” sense).

So yeah, I feel like we all outdid ourselves here today, Lisa included, although of course, he’s still a freaking weirdo, though you’d probably be surprised that he didn’t have this song at his theme music for his nightly assaults before. He spent a lot of time overseas, see, and he neither knew nor bothered to learn much about Pinoy music until I bugged him into having to cover a Filipino song. Tapos nahumaling siya kay Rico Blanco at first listen gamit ng “Amats” (the title being a colloquialization of the word “tama,” specifically its meaning of “craziness,” which is also close to its “hit” or “wound” meaning), and ‘yan, scary coincidence na nagsimula talaga ang interest namin sa Pinoy music dahil kay Rico Blanco.

Ngayon, bago ako magsimulang tumalak uli, here’s the mp3, nasa baba ang video, and please send support, especially consolation, sa mga nasabit ko po dito. Sorry din po uli sa abala.
