I Shared a Kiss with Calliope Mori – A TOB English Remix

Happy First Anniversary to hololive English, holoMyth, and last but not least, Calliope Mori, the rapping Reaper who was also the very first to debut in holoEN and holoMyth. It’s a late greeting, but considering what I made, well, maybe the world’s lucky that this wasn’t posted on time, hahaha~ X”D

Anyway, I made a remix just for her, and it’s a remix of Mikito-P’s “Boku wa Hatsune Miku to Kiss wo Shita,” which is also known in English as “I Shared a Kiss with Hatsune Miku.” The original’s more wholesome than it sounds, and I’d like to say the same about my remix, but I feel like I’d be overconfident there, to be honest. Still, I wanna get this and more out there and see where all that stuff will go as far as I can.

Now, I’d like to send my thanks to the three people I commissioned to help with this production: Shigeru for the mix and mastering, Denyel for the illustrations, and Lance for the video. Also, I’d like to send you my apologies for any potential weird looks from others thanks to your involvement in my antics.

And yeah, I’m feeling kinda tight-lipped here, and I’d rather have my work speak for me more, so yeah, here’s the mp3, and here’s the lyrics sheet. Again, please credit and link me if you’re gonna use my stuff, and I’d love some honest constructive feedback. God Almighty keep on helping us all, too.

Tobby tried to sing “Shutter Chance”

Funnily enough, I’m trying to be perfectionist about writing something here, a post about a song which has a persona that’s trying to be perfectionist. Now, what else am I going to say…well, I guess I’m working on my audio engineering skills some more? I bothered to read some more quick guides on the stuff. I hope you’d notice at least a bit of significant improvement, then, if there’s any. Also, I’d like to send my thanks to Hirochan again for giving this a pre-upload listen plus feedback.

Still, as usual, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated.

Also, cover mp3.

Now, see ya next time, fellow nuts.

Tobby tried to sing “Yuudachi no Ribbon”

Brought to you by instinctive picking and working, trial-and-error performance and engineering, and long-ass uploading and marketing. And lately, the third one takes the most effort, it seems. I guess I understand better how my fave singers and musicians take so long with their uploading and all that again, then. Welp-dee-doo.

Anyway, I guess this is a somewhat appropriate upload, considering the rain here lately. Why I picked this song to cover last month, well, it came from wanting to record some singing during my free time in my family’s house, and I guess I was feeling like going dramatic, so yeah. Perhaps a renewed interest in Mikito-P through having bunch of his works in my Spotify playlist also had major involvement there, too.

Oh, and going more into making vocal recording cut-ups in the making of this cover was a fun experience, yo~

English subtitles? Well, I haven’t been feeling like putting those up lately, unless the official vid has English subtitles. That, and I feel like challenging you all to learn the language yourselves, though I still understand if you’d rather look for a conveniently present translation. But hey, things get lost in translation, so…yeah.

Now, here’s the mp3 of this song cover.

And hey, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated! \(^o^ )

With an acoustic arrange, Tobby tried to sing “Yonjuunana”

So, I’m back with a cover of a song about an idol…and speaking of idols, I’ve been into a bunch of K-Pop idol groups lately. For example, I fanboyed about BTS on Twitter today.

Anyway, yeah, hadn’t done this in a while. I had this made spontaneously and quickly, like, some weeks ago, but the uploading was delayed due to some troubles and more important things, so yeah. I don’t think I should be feeling so down about letting this be delayed, though, considering that this is pretty much a side thing in my life right now…and maybe even in the future. My university years are not over yet, and spitting out creative works willy-nilly shouldn’t be a major part of my life. Along with that, I’ve been really letting myself break down a lot more lately. Like, really, as of this post’s writing, I’m suffering from another fever again, a few days after I suffered one and had some recovery.

So yeah, I guess my upload frequency here will still be all over the place, as usual. I still hope that you find worthwhile things and give worthwhile feedback as well.

Tobby tried to sing Setsuna Plus

Yo yo yo, after more than a month, which included suffering sore throat and runny nose and all that crap, I’m back with a song cover! This time, it’s Mikito-P‘s “Setsuna Plus”!

So, this one had its recordings untouched for a while, maybe a month or more, ’cause I was thinking of having someone else mix this cover. Eventually, though, I became more confident in my mixing skills and in trying to do trial-and-error with mixing, which is why I ended up mixing this myself. I worked my own sound engineering into the unmastered instrumental of this song, too, ’cause Tomodachi Boshuu-P’s instrumental mastering was too loud for me. Oh, and I’d like to know what you think of my mix as well, dear peeps!

Ah, and speaking of audio mastering, which I need to learn about some more along with other stuff about audio engineering, I’ve been trying to do that with the unmastered versions of various offvocal tracks lately. Using the equalization and the compressor in Audacity has never been that fun before, yo! And hey, if you have tips that you’d like to give, then feel free to give them!

Now, here’s the mp3 of this cover.

Honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated! \(^o^)

With an acoustic arrange, Tobby tried to sing Sarishinohara

And I return! With a new song cover!

So yeah, I tried to sing Mikito-P-sensei’s Sarishinohara again, and I tried to sing it with Osamuraisan’s acoustic arrange. If you want to compare this attempt and my previous attempt, then feel free to do so! Honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated, of course!

Oh, and I’d like to thank rolosoda very much for making the illustration for this cover’s video! And speaking of video-making, I tried to use AviUtl while making this, and freaking nuts, using that is more complex than what I expected…

Now, as for other stuff that I’ve been working on, I have two more covers in my to-be-encoded queue. They’ll probably take a while before I finish them, though, ’cause I’m gonna be subtitling their videos. There’s also my pile of university work, which is getting heavier, and I gotta work on school stuff first! sakiyama Chapter 4 is also in progress, and that will also take a while before it shows up in my blog and in my Wattpad as well.

And now, here’s this cover’s mp3!
