Too Childish

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

A professional mourner is paid to attend the funeral of a well-loved local schoolteacher, who died suddenly in a freak accident. The professional mourner can’t help but wonder why all the children won’t stop smiling…

This story was first posted on Reddit. It’s been a year since I wrote posted something in response to a prompt in r/WritingPrompts, and I think it’s good to be getting back in there, especially since I haven’t been exercising my writer muscles and burning all those carbohydrate-like ideas more regularly lately. I’ve been spitting out works in big bursts in irregular rhythms, and I don’t think it’s been getting my writing motivation properly stronger.

Anyway, here’s me with my latest r/WritingPrompts response. This time, it’s a short piece of horror. I wonder what you’ll think of it, dear readers?

Blazing Light of Her Home

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

You discover your neighbor is a vampire. You go to confront him with weapons in hand when [he] says with a sigh, “You don’t want to kill me. I am the only thing in this town that is keeping the werewolves at bay.”

This story was first posted on Reddit. I had decided to have my recent reblog here be my only blog post for today, but I went to r/WritingPrompts and got inspired again. Also, the response idea I had at first was something that blatantly made fun of those sexualized movies that have the “vampires versus werewolves” thing in them, but hey, I feel like this product’s good too. Still, I’d like to know your honest thoughts on this. And of course, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated!

Now, on to the story!

Noping Away

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

In the darkest reaches of the world, the cracks are portals to other worlds. You’ve found one in a dingy alley.

This story was first posted on Reddit. By the way, I think I’ve been feeling an art block lately. I should go make some changes in my art-making routine, I guess. Also, I’ve been playing League of Legends a lot lately. I’d be glad to play a match or two with friends and family who are interested enough.

Oh, and as for this story, I think my recent laziness is showing. Maybe that’s the most dominant material in the composition of my recent art block…Please feel free to give me advice on properly dealing with such a problem, dear readers!

Anyway, here’s the story! Also, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated!

Still Alive for Some Reason

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

Everybody has the ability to bring another person back to life, at the cost of their own life. You are a suicidal celebrity who can’t stay dead because of fans constantly sacrificing their lives to resurrect you.

This story was first posted on Reddit. Also, this a dark story, of course. Mature guidance is highly advised. Also, I feel like I’m not very strictly in line with the prompt…Anyway, I’d like to ask for your honest constructive feedback, still. I feel more motivated towards trying to be chill today, even though I’m feeling like I’m in a slump again.

Now, on to the story.

No Need to Get Drunk and Stripping

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

“Zombies? Let me guess, they’re eating peoples’ brains?” “Even worse! They’re drinking all the beer!”

This story was first posted on Reddit. Oh, and I’ll most likely be writing short stories in response to writing prompts more in the near future. Doing stuff that’s as big as sakiyama feels too much for me right now, see. And about this short story, well, I went spontaneous again, I think. Still, I think I should try writing down my plans for bigger works, along with doing that via handwriting too. Oh, and of course, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated!

Now, on to the story!

Heraculous Relationship Support

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

You receive a boon from an ancient god. Sadly, this boon is downright annoying in modern times.

This story was first posted on Reddit. It’s been a while since I last went to r/writingprompts and wrote in response to a prompt there. I was pretty spontaneous while thinking about what to write for the prompt, and seeing how it turned out makes me worry about my state of mind right now. I am feeling down lately, honestly, but it’s not like I’m not trying to lift my spirits up. I guess I’ll need to talk with some trustworthy people some time soon…Anyway, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated. Also, MATURE GUIDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HERE, YO.

Sidekicks Can Be Awesome Too

Author’s Note: This story was written in response to the following prompt in the WritingPrompts subreddit:

The main character has the gift to turn even their worst enemies into their greatest compainions.

This story was first posted on Reddit. This feels like it has a kinda rushed and unrealistic flow, but still, writing this has gotten me more motivated to write more fiction again. Also, I felt like my writing-with-time-constraints skill has improved, but I’m now questioning the value of that skill. Hm, I guess it can help me improvise on the spot better…

Oh, and of course, honest constructive feedback is highly encouraged and will be highly appreciated, yo.
